Owen Mumford Malaysia

Owen Mumford Malaysia is our first manufacturing facility outside of the UK and is the Asia Pacific HQ. With significant investment in manufacturing and production, the site has been producing high-quality medical devices since its opening in 2015.
Our Malaysian site has achieved many key milestones over the years, such as obtaining ISO 13458 and GDPMD certifications, obtained product licenses from the Malaysian Medical Device Authority, and successfully passed its first FDA audit with flying colours. The site has also won several awards for excellence, including the HRDF award for the 'place & train‘ program and the Malaysia-UK Business of the Year award by the BMCC.

In 2020, we took a major step towards expanding our manufacturing capacity by purchasing a second factory site. This expansion has allowed us to increase our production capacity and better meet the growing demand for our products globally. In addition to expanding our manufacturing capacity, we have also been committed to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainability. In 2022, we installed solar panels on our factory, which has helped us reduce our reliance on non-renewable energy sources and decrease our carbon emissions.

With a 98% Malaysian workforce, Owen Mumford Malaysia sources 100% of its packaging and machine tooling from local suppliers and uses local sourcing wherever possible for raw materials and parts. It is a testament to our commitment to the local community.
